Grass Fire - Valley Road

- The fire has been brought under control.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- Fire crews remain on scene.
Fire crews observed a large wildland fire on a property off Valley Road
Two Engines, two water tankers, two brush trucks and the Battalion Chief responded to a large grass/brush fire.
Crews deployed handlines and hose reels to bring fire under control.
Pike Lake and Delisle were called as mutual aid to assist the extinguishment.
Grass Fire - Wess Rd to HWY 16 EB
August 2, 2025 - 3:41 am
- Two engines, two brush trucks and two water tankers responded to multiple grass/brush fires over a 5 km area
- Crews used handlines and brush trucks to extinguish
- Clavet Fire assisted Saskatoon Fire with incident outside of city limits
- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
Fire crews observed multiple fires along rail line from Wess Rd to outside city limits on HWY 16 EB
Water Rescue – Broadway Bridge
July 31, 2025 - 4:28 pm
- The scene was turned over to Police for further investigation.
Saskatoon Fire Department Water Rescue Team observed a patient in the water holding on to a pier under the Broadway Bridge.
One water rescue firefighter engaged the distressed patient in the water, securing the patient with a flotation device.
3 more water rescue firefighters arrived in rescue boat 1, who lifted patient into the boat. Firefighter Paramedics assessed a patient who required medical attention. Firefighters transported the patient to shore and transferred the patient to ambulance personnel.
Kitchen fire - 300 block of Kalra Street

- The fire has been brought under control.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
Firefighters observed occupants evacuated from residence
Firefighters encountered light smoke at front door upon entry
Fire crews entered residence to find small fire on kitchen cook top. Crews extinguished fire and confirmed there was no fire spread in kitchen. Fire crews set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the building. One occupant received treatment by fire crews for minor injuries.
Garage Fire - 1400 block of East Heights

- The fire has been completely extinguished.
- The fire has been brought under control.
- A search confirmed all occupants safely evacuated.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
- A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
Firefighters observed a large amount of flame coming from a detached garage
Crews advanced hose lines to apply water to the interior of the structure and extinguish fire. Once crews extinguished fire, an immediate search was completed to confirm no occupants remained inside. Crews set up positive pressure fans to remove smoke and toxins from structure and locate any hot spots that may remain.
