Multiple vehicle fire - Idylwyld Dr. N.

Scene Upon Arrival:

First arriving crews found 4 vehicles fully involved.

Action(s) Taken:

Incident command requested another apparatus.

A used oil container melted and spilled onto the property and ignited.

Crews advanced multiple hose lines to extinguish the fire.

A fire investigator was called to the scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and a damage estimate.

Commercial fire – 100 block of Nelson Road

At 8:03 a.m., the Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) responded to a report of a small fire inside a school.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke coming from the northeast portables. They discovered the smoke was caused by smoldering styrofoam and welding from a construction site.

Fire crews set up fans to ventilate the smoke.

All occupants were safely evacuated.

A damage estimate is currently unknown.

Firefighters observed heavy black smoke coming from the home on arrival

Action(s) Taken:
  • Crews advanced multiple hose lines to apply water to extinguish basement fire.
  • Fire was brought "under control" and crews extinguished hotspots.
  • Occupants safely exited structure prior to SFD arrival.
  • Fire crews confirmed no other occupants located during search.
  • One pet was found deceased by fire crews.
