Traffic restrictions on College Drive begin tomorrow for water main repair
June 24, 2025 - 2:45pm
There will be traffic restrictions on College Drive beginning Wednesday, June 25 for a water main repair. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but there will be lane restrictions between Brian Towriss Crescent and Bottomley Avenue. The left turn lane from College Drive onto Cumberland Avenue will be closed.
This project is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstance.
Drivers are encouraged to use the zipper merge when approaching the work zone to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Kensington Boulevard intersection closed at 22nd Street starting Wednesday evening

Kensington Boulevard will be closed at 22nd Street starting Wednesday, June 25, at 7:00 p.m. for road resurfacing. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take one night to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

City’s 49th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast raises over $10K donation for City’s community partner, United Way Saskatoon & Area

Despite a drizzly start, the skies cleared and the community spirit shone bright at the City of Saskatoon’s 49th Annual Civic Pancake Fundraising Breakfast on Thursday, June 19! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the United Way of Saskatoon & Area.
We’re proud to announce that our 49th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast raised $10,594.18 (after expenses) for United Way Saskatoon & Area.
Pancake Breakfast results year over year;
Total number of breakfast tickets sold in 2025: 1,044
Total number of breakfast tickets sold in 2024: 1,344
Total number of breakfast tickets sold in 2023: 1,289
(Note: Tickets in 2024 and 2023 were priced at $7)
Paying it forward with kindness
Thank you for your generosity, Saskatoon, you paid it forward and purchased 115 Act of Kindness tickets! Saskatoon City Employees Credit Union and the City brought back the Act of Kindness Ticket board, allowing attendees and non-attendees to purchase extra breakfast tickets that allowed more people in our community to enjoy a warm breakfast and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether used or unused, every dollar from these tickets goes directly to United Way Saskatoon & Area.
Last year, the City’s 48th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast tally ended with a record-breaking final donation (revenue less expenses) to the United Way Saskatoon & Area of $13,471.50.
