REMINDER RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTED EVERY TWO WEEKS FROM NOVEMBER 1 TO MARCH 31
November 6, 2014 - 12:00pm
- Roll out your cart by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.
- Completely close and properly place your cart to avoid missed collections, and
- Return your cart to your yard or garage to prevent theft or fines
Residents are reminded that from November 1 to March 31, residential garbage collection follows a winter schedule for bi-weekly (every two weeks) pickups for black carts. The winter schedule of bi-weekly garbage collections was adopted because households tend to generate less garbage when the weather turns cold.
Garbage collection will temporarily return to weekly pick-up between December 15 and January 2. If your garbage or recycling is normally collected on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, they will be collected the following Saturday. Regular collection service is provided on all other statutory holidays, including Remembrance day
Curbside blue cart recycling collection is every two weeks, year-round. All of your paper and packaging can go in your recycling cart to further reduce your garbage. Find out which materials can be recycled at SaskatoonRecycles.ca
Remember to put waste in the right place and:
Check your 2014 Waste & Recycling Collection Calendar for your collection schedule or visit SaskatoonRecycles.ca and set up a handy reminder service for your black cart and blue cart collections.
