New Homeowner Plumbing Permit Now Available
January 20, 2026 - 11:00am
- You own the single-family dwelling unit. You must be the legal owner.
- You live in the dwelling. The unit is intended to be used exclusively for living quarters and will be occupied by the owner.
- You are doing the work yourself. You cannot pull a homeowner permit for someone else (an individual or company).
- The property is not intended for sale or rent.
The City of Saskatoon has introduced a new Homeowner Plumbing Permit to support residents completing plumbing work in their own single‑family homes.
The permit applies to homeowners planning to construct, extend, alter, renovate, remove or repair plumbing systems within a single‑family dwelling unit. All work must meet the National Plumbing Code of Canada and Saskatchewan Plumbing Regulations.
Eligibility for a Homeowner Plumbing Permit
You may apply for a Homeowner Plumbing Permit if:
Homeowners can apply through the City’s ePermitting platform, which makes it easy to submit applications, book inspections and pay fees online at any time.

20th Street closed between Avenues D and E starting Tuesday
January 19, 2026 - 7:00am
20th Street will be closed between Avenues D and E starting Tuesday, January 20, at 9:00 a.m. for a connection repair. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the area. This project is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Warman Road ramp to Circle Drive closed starting Tuesday
January 19, 2026 - 6:00am
The Warman Road southbound ramp to Circle Drive westbound will be closed starting Tuesday, January 20, at 9:00 a.m. for a fence installation. The closure will be set daily between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the area. This project is expected to take 11 days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
