City of Saskatoon adjusted services & hours of operation on Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1

The City of Saskatoon will have several adjusted civic services and hours of operation on Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1.
Check detailed information on stat holiday parking requirements, what's open or closed, hours of operation at all Leisure facilities, the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo, the Saskatoon Public Library, Remai Modern, Saskatoon Transit/Access Transit holiday service, information on waste collection, and more here.

Adjusted civic services & hours of operation Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1
June 25, 2025 - 11:15am
- Fixed-route transit will run holiday service hours on July 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (normal fares apply).
- Please consult the mobile app transit to plan your trip.
- Immediately following the Canada Day fireworks event downtown, free service will be provided on the following special routes on either side of the river:
- 3rd Avenue and 19th Street
- Victoria Avenue and 11th Street
- OnDemand service will not be available on July 1.
- Access Transit will operate holiday service hours on July 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Trips must be booked in advance as per normal procedures (8:15 a.m. to 10:45 p.m.)
- Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on Statutory Holidays.
- For downtown Canada Day celebrations, Access Transit pickups and drop-offs will be at the temporary stop on 2nd Avenue just north of the Alt Hotel.
- Transit Customer Service Centre will be closed for walk-in customers on Tuesday, July 1, but phone lines (306-975-3100) will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

- Parking payment is not required on Tuesday, July 1
- Parking payment is required on Monday, June 30
- Motorists are reminded that all other parking requirements remain in effect, including parking time limits.
- Vehicles will not be released to the public on Tuesday, July 1

2025 Property Tax deadline: payments due by Monday, June 30, choose your payment method
June 24, 2025 - 3:25pm
- Online Banking: Pay your property tax through your bank’s online payment option. Allow up to 2 business days for payment processing (some banks may take longer).
- In-person at City Hall: Pay your property taxes by cheque, cash or debit. Open until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025. If paying by debit at City Hall, be aware of your daily withdrawal limit; prior arrange your withdrawal limit with your bank.
- At Your Financial Institution: Most banks accept property tax payments. Payment processing may take up to 2 business days.
- City Hall Drop Boxes: Drop off cheques only (no cash) at City Hall, 222-3rd Avenue North:
- outside the main entrance
- inside the lobby
The City of Saskatoon reminds all property owners that 2025 property tax payments are due Monday, June 30, 2025.
Avoid Late Payment Fees: A 1.75% monthly compounded late fee will be applied to any unpaid 2025 property taxes after the due date.

Please note: The Payment Drop Box located outside of the main doors of City Hall will be open on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, to deposit cheques.
Prefer monthly property tax payments? Join the Tax Instalment Payment Plan Service (TIPPS) to pay in 12 monthly instalments. You can apply for the TIPPS Program any time.
Need help? If you have already mailed in your 2025 property tax payment, you can check your account balance by calling our automated voice response toll free at 1-800-667-9944 or Corporate Revenue Customer Service at 306-975-2400.

Traffic restrictions on College Drive begin tomorrow for water main repair
June 24, 2025 - 2:45pm
There will be traffic restrictions on College Drive beginning Wednesday, June 25 for a water main repair. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but there will be lane restrictions between Brian Towriss Crescent and Bottomley Avenue. The left turn lane from College Drive onto Cumberland Avenue will be closed.
This project is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstance.
Drivers are encouraged to use the zipper merge when approaching the work zone to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Despite a drizzly start, the skies cleared and the community spirit shone bright at the City of Saskatoon’s 49th Annual Civic Pancake Fundraising Breakfast on Thursday, June 19! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the United Way of Saskatoon & Area.
We’re proud to announce that our 49th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast raised $10,594.18 (after expenses) for United Way Saskatoon & Area.

Total number of breakfast tickets sold in 2024: 1,344
Total number of breakfast tickets sold in 2023: 1,289

Paying it forward with kindness
Thank you for your generosity, Saskatoon, you paid it forward and purchased 115 Act of Kindness tickets! Saskatoon City Employees Credit Union and the City brought back the Act of Kindness Ticket board, allowing attendees and non-attendees to purchase extra breakfast tickets that allowed more people in our community to enjoy a warm breakfast and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether used or unused, every dollar from these tickets goes directly to United Way Saskatoon & Area.
Last year, the City’s 48th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast tally ended with a record-breaking final donation (revenue less expenses) to the United Way Saskatoon & Area of $13,471.50.
