 COVID-19 Response for Saskatoon Residents

Starting Monday, June 15, 2020, the Payment Centre, Customer Service & Collections counters located in the lobby of City Hall will open with a limited number of services, view what is available here. The lobby has been modified with the health, safety and well-being of employees and citizens as top priority. The remainder of City Hall remains closed to the public. Our business operations continue to ensure core services for our residents as much as possible. Public transit currently remains operational.


COVID-19 Response: Leisure Centres and Recreation Programs

Leisure Centres will re-open in Phase 4.2 in full compliance with the guidelines and restrictions as required by the Chief Medical Health Officer and regulated under the Government of Saskatchewan’s Re-Open Saskatchewan plan:

  • Lakewood Civic Centre – projected late July opening
  • Shaw Centre – projected late July opening
  • Remaining Leisure Centres - TBD

Leisure Centre Admission Rates & Options

All Leisure Centre admission options provide access to drop-in program offerings, including:

  • public, family and lane swimming
  • aquafitness and fitness classes
  • indoor walking/jogging tracks
  • fitness and weight rooms
  • open gym, racquet and court sports
  • indoor playgrounds (ages seven and under)

The Fine Print (*, **, ***)

*Youth ages 7-12 are allowed to use cardio equipment only and must be directly supervised by an adult.

*Youth ages 13-15 are allowed to use cardio and strength equipment and must be directly supervised by an adult (unsupervised if they have a Youth Weight Room Card - obtained through an Introduction to Youth Weight Room Training).

*Youth must be 15 and older to participate in an instructor led fitness program.

**Children under the age of 6 must be supervised by an adult or responsible youth at all times. To help preschool age children stay safe in and around the water, the City requires that all participants comply with the following policy: "For every two preschoolers under the age of 6, there must be one adult or responsible youth (16 years or older) within arm's length, supervising the preschoolers' water play and activity."  The best life preserver for your child is YOU!  Infants and toddlers participating in water play must wear an appropriate swim diaper.

***Family is defined as a group up to seven individuals with a maximum of two adults.

Last Hour Promotion ($3)

Take advantage of the final hour of operation at any Leisure Centre fitness and exercise room, walking track or open gym, seven days a week for a $3 admissionExcludes swimming pools, the Terry Fox Track and badminton and pickleball at the Saskatoon Field House.  

Bulk Tickets (10 passes)

Buy 10 general admissions for less than the price of eight!  Bulk tickets never expire and are transferable to family and friends. They also make great birthday gifts or include them in treat bags.  Choose from adult, youth and family packs. Bulk Tickets are also available for Outdoor Pools during the summer.

A LeisureCard provides unlimited access to all Leisure CentresOutdoor PoolsIndoor Rinks and Terry Fox Track. LeisureCards are the best discount admission option for customers who visit these facilities more than two times per week.  Plus, a 20-minute Leisure Centre fitness and weight room orientation is provided with every LeisureCard purchase and Child Minding is FREE with Family LeisureCards.  ​S potlight on LeisureCards

Get unlimited access to the Leisure Centres in June, July and August for one low price! Sales begin May 1 and end June 20.  Not valid at outdoor pools. For new LeisureCard customers only. Non-refundable, non-transferable and no extensions for medical, vacation or facility shutdowns.  

LeisureCard Payment Options, Lost Cards & Refunds

Payment plans are available for six and 12 month durations.  If you select the automatic bank withdrawal, you will initially be charged the one-month rate at the time of purchase with the balance paid in equal amounts over the remaining months.

LeisureCards are non-transferable.

If you lose your card, a replacement card can be issued at a cost of $5.00, plus taxes, at any Leisure Centre.

Refunds may be available in the event that you need to cancel your LeisureCard.  A minimum one-month pass rate shall be charged for all cancelation requests.  Refunds are not available for one-month cards.  

Facility closures & program cancelations may occur.  The City reserves the right to cancel programs or close all or part of any Leisure Centre for regular maintenance and/or special bookings.  LeisureCards will not be extended nor will the holder be compensated for facility closures of fewer than five consecutive days or program cancelations.

Pick Your Perk

Becoming a 12-month LeisureCard holder has its perks!  Simply sign up for a 12-month LeisureCard, pay either in full or installments, and if your card is still active at the end of its term you will be eligible to pick from one of the following:

  • Perk 1:  Early Bird Registration.  Enjoy a full-year of 24-hour advance registration access for leisure programs, including Red Cross swimming lessons!
  • Perk 2:  12 months for the price of 11.  Renew your 12-month LeisureCard for the price of 11 months.
  • Perk 3:  $50 PerkCard.  Give as a gift or keep for yourself.  The promotional $50 PerkCard can be used towards purchases at any Leisure Centre, Outdoor Pool, Municipal Golf Course, Indoor Rink, Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park, Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo and Gordon Howe Campground.  Some restrictions apply, depending on facility.  

Refer a Friend

Recommend a LeisureCard to friends and family and if they purchase three months or more, your current LeisureCard will be extended by one month!  Some restrictions apply. 

Gift Cards

Leisure Gift Cards are available in any amount and perfect for all ages.  Good for use at the Leisure Centres, Outdoor Pools, Indoor RinksMunicipal Golf CoursesSaskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo, Gordon Howe Campground and Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park. Available for purchase at all participating facilities and City Hall (2nd Floor Recreation and Community Development reception).

Child Minding

Child Minding provides a safe and fun environment for children six years of age and under while their parent or guardian participates in a Leisure Centre activity.  Available at Lakewood Civic Centre, Saskatoon Field House and Shaw Centre.  For hours, visit Drop-in OnlineSee Customer Service for registration information for school-aged children.
