City to adjust some services and hours on Tuesday, September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
September 26, 2025 - 2:25pm
- The Material Recovery Centre and Landfill are open on Tuesday, September 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
- Cash transactions are accepted, although credit and debit are recommended.
- More information at saskatoon.ca/mrc.
- Fixed-route, OnDemand, and Access Transit services, as well as the Transit Customer Service Centre, will operate regular hours on Tuesday, September 30.
- For real-time bus locations, service alerts, and trip planning, use the Transit app.
- Access Transit Trips must be booked in advance as per normal procedures.
- Subscriptions will not automatically be cancelled. Customers are to contact Access Transit to cancel service for September 30, if required.
- ***Parking payment will be required*** in City-managed pay parking areas on National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, Tuesday, September 30.
- Motorists are reminded that all other parking requirements remain in effect, including parking time limits.
- Vehicles will not be released to the public on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Tuesday, September 30.

Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The City of Saskatoon will have several adjusted civic services and hours of operation on Tuesday, September 30 as follows:
CITY HALL
All Administrative Offices are closed on Tuesday, September 30. City Hall will reopen Wednesday, October 1, at 8:00 a.m.

The City of Saskatoon is committed to providing uninterrupted customer service and business operations due to the Canada Post service disruption, which started Thursday, September 25, 2025.
“Given the disruption to mail delivery, we want to remind the community that “it’s business as usual at City Hall,” says Mike Voth, Director of Corporate Revenue. “We encourage residents to use our convenient online services, sign up for paperless billing and also visit the City’s website for information and our latest updates.”

2nd Avenue will be closed between 20th and 21st streets starting Monday, September 29, at 9:00 a.m. for construction. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the area. This project is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
