This is why we ask residents to sign-up for notifynow.
Central Avenue, between 108th and 109th streets, will be closed starting Tuesday, December 3, at 8:00 a.m. to repair a water valve. This work is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
About 800 vehicles and pieces of equipment will use telematics to help the City monitor, manage and make informed decisions for its corporate fleet. Telematics uses data from GPS and vehicle diagnostics to identify trends in fuel usage, idling and operating behaviours.

City crews are clearing snow and treating ice on high-traffic roads this morning following approximately 6 centimeters of snowfall over the past several hours.
Streets, bridge decks, freeway ramps, overpasses and high-traffic intersections may be icy and snow packed. Drivers should slow down, use caution and allow for extra time to reach their destination.
Taylor Street, between Victoria and McPherson avenues, will be closed on Monday, December 2, starting at 8:00 a.m. for roadwork. This work is expected to take four hours to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Following a competitive request for proposal and negotiations process, the City has finalized a new eight-year agreement with Loraas Recycle for Curbside Recycling Services, effective January 1, 2020 through 2027.
“We are happy to continue our partnership with Loraas Recycle to deliver a successful recycling program and to offer the levels of service the City and its residents have come to expect,” says Russ Munro, Director of Water & Waste Operations.
