The 2020 Civic Election is November 9, 2020.  Eligible voters in Saskatoon will cast their ballot for Mayor, City Councillors and School Board Trustees. Voting safely is our priority. The City’s Election Office will ensure public safety measures are in place for voters and election workers. The Civic Election team will respond accordingly to all current public health orders and COVID-19 directives as issued by the Province.

Briarvale Road will be closed between Briarvale Court and Briarvale Crescent starting Tuesday, August 4, at 7:00 a.m. for road resurfacing. This project expected to take four days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

July 31, 2020 - 8:00am

33rd Street will be closed between Neault and Kensington roads starting Tuesday, August 4, at 8:00 a.m. for road construction. This project expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.  

Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the construction zone.

July 31, 2020 - 7:00am

The City will start the final phase of the 8th Street Water Main Replacement Project between Preston Avenue and Campbell Avenue on Tuesday, August 4 at 7:00 a.m.  This phase is expected to take approximately 3 weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances. The project is on schedule to be complete by the end of August.

Phase 1 – 8th Street East from Campbell Avenue to Arlington Avenue - complete

Phase 2 – 8th Street East from Sommerfeld Avenue to Preston Avenue – complete as of August 1.

Avenue C will be closed between 37th and 39th streets starting Friday, July 31, at 7:00 a.m. to install a water main. This project is expected to take approximately seven weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.  

The Avenue C intersection at 39th Street will be closed starting Tuesday, August 4, at 7:00 a.m. to install a temporary water main. This part of the project is expected to take 7 days to complete.

Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the construction zone.

Clarence Avenue will be closed between 12th Street and Aird Street starting Thursday, July 30, at 7:00 a.m. for water main rehabilitation work. This is the beginning of phase two of a three-phase project and is expected to take approximately 5 weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.  

The Clarence Avenue and Aird Street intersection will be closed during this phase of the project. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the closure.

July 29, 2020 - 9:00am

The Preston Avenue off-ramp to Circle Drive southbound will be closed on Thursday, July 30, at 9:00 a.m. for cable fault repairs. This work is expected to take one day to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
