Circle Drive North Bridge work halfway complete; two-way traffic switches to westbound side Sunday
The Circle Drive North Bridge rehabilitation project is progressing on schedule and is now halfway complete. Crews are finishing work on the westbound side and will reopen it this weekend. Starting Sunday evening, the westbound side of the bridge will accommodate two-way traffic while work gets underway on the eastbound side.
Drivers are reminded to utilize the zipper merge technique when approaching the construction zone. Use all available lanes up to the merge point, then take turns moving through.
Construction on the 40-year-old Circle Drive North Bridge began at the end of February and is expected to be completed in October. Work includes replacing asphalt and barriers, improving drainage and concrete, and repairing piers and abutments to ensure the bridge lasts for years to come.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by this work. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
