Fall Leisure Guide available Friday, August 4; Program registration begins Sunday, August 20
The City of Saskatoon Leisure Guide is the community’s go-to source for sport, culture and recreation information in Saskatoon.
The Fall Leisure Guide will be available online at saskatoon.ca/leisureguide and on display at pick-up locations beginning Friday, August 4. Pick up the guide from any City leisure facility, Saskatoon public library or anywhere the StarPhoenix is sold. Visit saskatoon.ca/leisureguide for a complete list of pick-up locations.
Included in the guide is everything you need to know about Lifesaving Society of Canada swimming lessons, which the City started offering at the start of 2023. Preschool, swim kids and adult swim program participants’ previous Red Cross certifications will transfer to the new Lifesaving Society corresponding certifications. Make sure to check out the registration guidelines and transfer chart in the Leisure Guide before you make your swim class selection.
Highlights of the Fall Leisure Guide (September 1 to December 31, 2023) include information on:
- Swimming lessons and lifeguard certification training opportunities;
- Saskatoon’s Leisure Centres (Cosmo, Lakewood, and Lawson Civic Centres; Saskatoon Field House; and Shaw Centre) including admission options such as LeisureCards and Bulk Tickets;
- Public and parent & tot skating at the indoor rinks;
- A variety of free community programming including events for youth on school breaks and the popular Drop N’Shop;
- Adult drop-in and registered fitness programs for all fitness levels and all stages of your life;
- Learn to Skate, Lil’ and Mini Movers and Sport registered programs for toddlers, children and youth;
- Community Association programs and activities; and,
- Facility rental options
Mark your calendars! Registration for Fall programs begins Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. by logging into to your account on leisureonline.saskatoon.ca or by calling 306-975-2800.
Private and semi-private swim lessons registrations will open on Monday, August 21. Registrations are accepted by phone only. Call the Leisure Centre you are interested in taking lessons at to register. This change is being piloted in effort to reduce wait times for phone line registrations.
