Landlord-Tenant Agreement

The Landlord-Tenant Agreement is an agreement between the City of Saskatoon and the owner of a rental property that allows for the automatic transfer of billing of utilities from the tenant to the owner when the tenant moves from that address and no other tenant has made application for the service.

In December 2019,  the Landlord-Tenant Agreement was amended by City Council there are a number of changes for Landlords to know about.

The City waives the usual application fee for such automatic transfers.

This Agreement is made pursuant to Section 2.1 of Bylaw No. 2685 (Electrical Service) and Section 38.1 of Bylaw No. 7567 (Water and Sewer Service).
