One block of Avenue H north, between Rusholme Road and Bedford Road, will be closed on December 6th, 2017 to allow for water and sewer replacement work. The roadway is scheduled to reopen by the afternoon commute, barring weather delays or unforeseen circumstances.

Single-family homes in Saskatoon will begin receiving their personalized Recycle & Waste Calendar for 2018 this week with schedules for their black, blue and green cart pick-up. This is the last year for the printed calendar, which is expected to save the City $400,000 over the next 5 years.

This Wednesday, December 6, 2017,  the City of Saskatoon’s Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) will send a notifynow TEST message to residents of Saskatoon at 10:00 a.m.  The message will clearly indicate that this is a TEST.

The City of Saskatoon is accepting applications for the 2018 Environmental Grant Program. The Environmental Grant Program administers cash grants to local non-profit organizations implementing initiatives that support the City of Saskatoon’s strategic goal of Environmental Leadership.

A total of $20,000 is allocated annually, with $10,000 of this total allocated specifically to projects that relate to protection of water resources.

The application deadline for the 2018 Environmental Grant Program is 4:30 p.m. on February 15, 2018.

The City has received a $52,000 grant to support the continued development of the City’s asset management policy, strategy and governance framework. Authorization to sign the contribution agreement for the grant received through the Climate and Asset Management Network (CAMN) Program was given by City Council at its meeting on November 20, 2017.
